Responding to Demand for EC and General Cargo Logistics in the Chiba, Ichihara Coastal Areas - SENKO Opens Keiyo PD Center -

SENKO Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Kenji Sugimoto; "SENKO") opened the "Keiyo PD Center" (located in Ichihara City in Chiba Prefecture; "new center")" that includes a general warehouse and dangerous goods warehouse, and held an opening ceremony on December 15.

The new center is located approximately 4 km from "Ichihara IC" on the Tateyama Expressway and approximately 20 km from Chiba Port, making it a convenient location within one hour by car to Tokyo Port, Haneda Airport and Narita Airport. The area is also an elevated inland area in Chiba Prefecture with a firm and stable bedrock, meaning it has a low risk of flooding or landslide disasters, which meets the BCP needs of customers.

SENKO owns many sites covering the logistics of petrochemical manufacturers located along the coastal areas of Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, but there is the need to respond to demand for a dangerous goods warehouse and growing demand for e-commerce and general cargo in consuming areas. Logistics centers are also located in different areas, which tends to increase the working hours of drivers covering transportation and loading work.

The opening of the new center will help meet increasing demand for dangerous goods warehouse and general cargo. Expansion of truck parking areas and installation of loading areas are also planned to boost the number of directly managed trucks and expand on the regional delivery network. Centralizing collection points helps to improve driver working efficiency and reduce waiting times.

By opening the new center, SENKO will meet increasing demand for logistics in the Ichihara coastal area of Chiba Prefecture, while centralizing sites to boost work efficiency will also contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and addressing the 2024 problem affecting drivers.
